Ya, I'm a God Mom

So Ihave to talk a little about my little Tink Hanna Kay. She's getting so big so fast in a few years she'll be taller than me I swear.

Hanna Kay is 3.5 going on 16, and I am not kidding. There's so much personality in this little girl she might explode soon. She has a great imagination and loves doing whatever makes her feel responsible and grown up. She's really excited for Cheyenne Frontier Days this year because she has a ticket to see TAYLOR SWIFT, her idol! Her Mom, or Santa, not sure who, gave her a kitten for Christmas this year and Hanna named her Sprinkles. She's a fun-loving little handful and I love her and her family with my whole heart.

see you when i get there...

for erik- i wrote this over 3 years ago with the intentions that it would stitch together the hemorrhage in my soul, perhaps i could feel the safety of memories in passage to a life that no longer existed. i wrote because i missed him because i will never stop missing him and because the warmth that settled in my heart because of him, will remain there always.

a long walk home

the air feels empty, though the sun is shining and the sky is cloudless today is dark and gray to me. your absense is as real as any other day, yet on this day tears stream down my face into an ocean of memories i can not escape. the wind blows my hair across my face and i smile, not because i am happy, but because i know you would want me to.

closing my eyes in the sun

though sometimes i feel as if i “know-it-all” i have much to learn. there are so many things from the past that revamp my future and serve to forever change my life. sometimes i find it hard to believe i've made it this far!? today i laid in the grass and stared at the sky until my eyes began burning from the sun. the clouds weren't even moving and i felt as though because of that, time itself had stopped. i closed my eyes for a while and thought about the person i will be in 20 years. nothing real in depth, i wondered if my hair will be long, if i'll have kids, be married, be content, and have fulfilled some of the things that today, seem like i'll never get the chance to do. there was an indescribable blue tint on everything around me and a light headed sensation when i opened my eyes. i don't know what that is but whenever i close my eyes in the sun for awhile, when i open them up again that always happens. sometimes i forget about things like that...it's been a while since i've just closed my eyes in the sun. which reminds me that time eventually runs out, it is a phenomenal thing and it changes us all, yet sometimes we stay the same. it has the ability to stop (or so it felt like it today), and grant us moments of serenity. it's like the wrinkles on my grandmother’s face, they continue to form yet i see her the same as she was when i was a little girl, like no time has gone by at all. nevertheless, time is precious, but not promised. i'm going to close my eyes in the sun more.....

i'm blogging?...about Shanahan?

Gosh damn Bronco's didn't make it to the Superbowl but I had a lot of fun going to the games this season. It will be interesting to see what the new coach will be like, RIP Shanahan....

Ring Of Fire WHAT?!?!

One last HORRAY before I head back school!

Christmas break was long enough for me but before I got into the swing of things my friends Kara, Dino, Matt Bath, and no-Speaka Espinosa headed down to Broomfield, CO to watch our buddy Justin Salas fight in a MMA competion. Unfortunately he didn't win but we had a good time cheering for him anyway!
